I guess some folks won’t be having a pool party tonight. I found several floats, a noodle, and a beach ball this morning in the Lake today. All still inflated. Thankfully no tires to pull out. I filled up one large contractor bag in about an hour before the heat chased me away. Here is a collection of some of the more interesting finds.

Bright blue pool float with shark design and a green noodle found floating all in the Lake Livingston. I had to chase these ones down. If I get a few more, I’ll build an armada of floating trashcans to tow beyond our kayak.

Emergency Flairs one white smoke one orange smoke. I didn’t test them out because they were super water logged. I’m guessing these fell out of a boat’s emergency kit. Either way, I have no clue what chemicals they contain.
A collection of plastic bottles and cans found near the lake, highlighting littering issues. The Vanilla Coke cans were glued together–a failed wizard stick. Fire Ball appears to be the shot of choice of Lake Livingston. The black aerosol can may be some secret, limited, flavor of Axe bottle spray. The word will never know. Only one piss jug this haul.
A collection of various lost items found at the lake, including colorful toys, a flip-flop, and a few unusual objects. Shin guards? Parts of various plastic Dollar Tree toys maybe party favors? Only one Chancla–maybe he deserved it, but please pick it afterwards. Dead center is a piece of an ornate picture frame. I’m still trying to figure out how that ended up in the lake.
A collection of debris found in the lake, including plastic cups, a bag, and other waste materials. The Plastic bag was wrapped around a floating branch–it could have easily been wrapped around a turtle or bird.
More single use lighters–they are everywhere. I totally thought smoking was out of fashion. One personal pet-peeve of mine are the single use plastic flossing devices. They are a pain to get out of the lake unless I physically grab them by hand. Good on you for dental hygiene but just use floss. I wish these flossing picks were never invented.
